In April, 2020 the National Institutes of Health (NIH) announced Accelerating COVID-19 Therapeutic Interventions and Vaccines (ACTIV) public-private partnership to develop a coordinated research strategy for prioritizing and speeding development of the most promising treatments and vaccines. You’ve no doubt heard about the vaccine to help prevent covid 19 infections,  but there is also a need to find effective treatments for people with Covid 19.
